The Banff Christmas Market is a holiday tradition in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Inspired by European markets and featuring the best of the Bow Valley, it’s a celebration of the season’s sights, sounds, and flavours. Explore stalls with handmade goods, enjoy mulled wine and pretzels, and take in live entertainment. During the day, it’s a welcoming spot for families, and in the evening, it offers a relaxed atmosphere for adults. The market combines tradition and local culture, making it a great place to shop, eat, and enjoy the spirit of the season.
The Banff Christmas Market is proudly owned and operated by a dedicated team of local Banff women. Founded in 2014 by Jolene Brewster with just 25 vendors, it has grown into a holiday festival spanning four weekends with over 170 vendors. Joined by Hayley Mulhern in 2018, and supported by Mary Brewster and Siobhan Moran, this hardworking team works year-round to bring the holiday spirit to life. You’ll often see them at the Market (sometimes with their kids!), so don’t hesitate to say hello and share your feedback—it helps make the Market better every year!
