For the past 36 years, Shine Foundation has been changing the lives of young people aged 11-21 living with severe physical disabilities. Through Shine Dreams, we help them to gain confidence and see themselves differently as someone who can vs. someone who can’t. Shine lays the foundation for transformative change by working to empower these young people to see a brighter future full of possibility and contribution.

Shine Dreams are as unique as the dreamer, from meeting a hero to adapted sports equipment, to life-changing experiences and tech gear, these impactful Dreams can support their personal development, expand their educational and career possibilities, reduce barriers, and address mental health challenges. Our approach is both based on the science of developmental psychology and the unique needs and aspirations of each young person we serve. We know that fulfilling a young person’s hopes and dreams is life changing and with over 63,000 Canadians that qualify for our program, Shine Foundation greatly appreciates your support.
